This collection is related to nature and structures and the shading of the pictures. I took them in different angles to capture the light rays shining on the objects. I was able to solely focus on one thing while the rest was somewhat blurred out. The first photograph is taken from angle going up to down. My intention was to focus on the rust and surface of the chain. The second picture was taken on the ground of a dirt surface while the sun was facing toward the leaf creating the shadow around it. The third picture was taken on a sidewalk where a branch from a palm tree fell. It created something like a tunnel and gave the depth in the picture. The fourth picture is of a stop sign and a palm tree. It was taken in the afternoon which is why the object appear dark but you can still the rays of the sunlight. The fifth picture was taken of a couple of leaves and a round object. It was taken in half shade and half sunlight. Which is why the round object and the leaf over it come out more then the rest.

Great collection Valerie.
ReplyDeletePicture 1 - Good angle. Makes it interesting, as a viewer, I don't know when I want to slide down or whether to run along with the chain.
Picture 4 - Whether or not it was your intention, it is an interesting play of manmade versus nature. The street signs are almost a resemblance of the palm tree.
Picture 5 - is my favorite due to the warmth I feel. It feels like a secret location, untampered by humans. I almost feel like it's the first sight a bug or small animal would see upon crawling out into the world.
