"Project 3: Composition"

This collection is related to nature and structures and the shading of the pictures. I took them in different angles to capture the light rays shining on the objects.  I was able to solely focus on one thing while the rest was somewhat blurred out. The first photograph is taken from angle going up to down.  My intention was to focus on the rust and surface of the chain. The second picture was taken on the ground of a dirt surface while the sun was facing toward the leaf creating the shadow around it. The third picture was taken on a sidewalk where a branch from a palm tree fell. It created something like a tunnel and gave the depth in the picture. The fourth picture is of a stop sign and a palm tree.  It was taken in the afternoon which is why the object appear dark but you can still the rays of the sunlight.  The fifth picture was taken of a couple of leaves and a round object. It was taken in half shade and half sunlight. Which is why the round object and the leaf over it come out more then the rest.

PS Activity 10/05/11

Project 1

This is a series of photos of coins from the value and date. The single coin is valued at a dollar. The two coins are half dollars and dated in 1964. The picture with three coins are quarters dated from 1914 to 1964. The picture of four coins are dated from 1952 to 1964 and valued at 10 cents. Something I had a problem with was getting the surface of the coin to show. After taking it in different angles and opening the curtain slightly I was able to show what i wanted.

About Me

Hello , my name is Valerie Padilla. I may not be the best artist or best photographer, but it's something that's always caught my attention. I first got into art when I was in elementary. Doodling and cartoons were my favorite. My second interest had become graphic design. Most of the time I'd make my own graphics when editing my profile.  My third interest was being introduced to photography. There was a certain thing about it that caught my eye. Ever since then i've just been interested w. anything that has to do with art, including crafts.
